Body Shop Manager-Estimator

Job Description

We are looking for experienced body shop manager/estimator with the ability to motivate employees for quality and timely repairs. This person must be able to be accountable for all operational aspects of the shop. Complete initial estimates, write complete estimates after full disassembly and damage evaluation, and lock final estimates. Communicate supplements to customers and insurance companies on the same business day as written. Maintain and execute timely schedule of repairs. Manage filing of insurance claims and coordinate with adjusters. Manage consumer and vendor issues as needed and maintain proper staffing levels. Develops and maintains good working relationships with insurance companies and vendors. Set goals and objectives and review actual performance. Actively supports, encourages, and motivates daily to maintain high morale. Set example for enthusiasm, productivity, and accountability. Monitors daily operations, and recommending improved courses of action where necessary.   

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Body Shop Manager in the automotive industry
• Effective management and leadership skills, strong problem-solving skills, strong communication skills, and excellent customer service skills
• Ability to deal effectively with insurance partners
• Knowledge of estimating systems
• Computer proficiency
• Ability to motivate staff and maintain high morale
• Organization, multi-tasking skills, strong communication skills, and excellent customer service skills
• Possess a valid Body Shop Estimators license/Physical appraisers license for state of PA (preferred)
• Valid Driver’s License
• High School Diploma
