Caldwell Body Works Inc. is taking applications for an Automotive Refinish Technician.

The technician plays a key role in delivering a quality product for our valuable customers.  Caldwell offers competitive pay commensurate to your experience with a great working environment. Position is full-time, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership for the paint department with a mindset of quality and teamwork.
• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in properly applying refinish materials.
• Attend daily production meetings and schedule work performed accordingly.
• Review body work and prep work performed for quality and imperfections.
• Verify that all items are removed or prepared to facilitate proper quality paint work.
• Understand refinish processes for choosing correct color variances, use of paint sun gun, color variant charts and blending techniques.
• Mix and apply refinish materials per company and paint manufacturer guidelines.
• Verify that all paint operations are performed according to work order.
• Participate and learn updated techniques and products to maintain industry excellence.
• Experience in BASF refinish materials a plus, but is not required.
• I-Car and ASE Certification in refinishing procedures a plus, but is not required.

Must:

• Have a good work ethic with pride in your work and yourself.
• Have a pleasant demeanor with good customer service skills.
• Have a valid driver's license and your own transportation.
• Be able to stoop, bend, lift moderately heavy items and generally be able to do manual labor.
• Be able to do general shop cleaning and maintenance work.
• Be able to follow instructions to perform a task with minimal supervision.
• Be drug free and submit to a background check.
• Be able to work as a team player with and around others.
