The Stokes School of Marine and Environmental Sciences at the University of South Alabama (USA) (https://www.southalabama.edu/colleges/artsandsci/marinesciences/) seeks applicants for a full-time (9-month), one-year-only, non-tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Human Dimensions of Coastal Systems to begin on August 15, 2025. We seek applications from individuals whose research focuses on integrating social and environmental sciences to study complex coastal challenges and ultimately pursue sustainability. A Ph.D. in interdisciplinary ecology, resource management, environmental sciences, coastal/marine sciences, or other related fields is required. Expectations for research are high in the School of Marine and Environmental Sciences, and applicants should demonstrate clear potential for success in publications and extramural grant support.
