Position Summary
This position is responsible for researching, developing, and implementing effective recruiting strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates for open positions, internships, and future positions within the Southern Ute Growth Fund companies and departments including Southern Ute Shared Services (SUSS). Assists with the hiring process and interact with Growth Fund employees, Southern Ute Indian Tribal employees, applicants, Tribal members and the public in an efficient, courteous and helpful manner.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, Psychology, or other related field and five years experience managing all phases of recruitment in a business and/or secondary education setting; OR an Associate’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, Psychology, or other related field and seven years experience managing all phases of recruitment in a business and/or secondary education setting; OR a High School diploma or equivalent and ten years experience managing all phases of recruitment in a business and/or secondary education setting is required. Must have advanced knowledge and skill with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams. Must have strong content creation skills and experience with manipulating digital photographs. Must have experience creating and implementing strategies for recruitment. Must have excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Must be proficient with or have the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems. Must be able to follow directions, understand and carry out written and oral instructions. Must have the ability to troubleshoot issues independently. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to answer questions with courtesy, tact and diplomacy. Must have attention to detail and a high level of organizational skills. Must have the ability to work independently, take initiative, and make decisions with confidence and reason. Must have, or be able to obtain, knowledge and understanding of Growth Fund Personnel Policies and Procedures. Must be willing to assist others, learn new skills, and participate in a productive, team-oriented environment. Must be willing to travel to local high schools, in and out of state colleges, and job/career fairs. Must have valid driver’s license and be insurable under the Growth Fund’s vehicle insurance policy. Must pass criminal history background check and pre-employment drug test.
