Skills and Competencies
7+ years of experiencein1DevOps, SRE, or a similar role with increasing responsibility.
Deep understanding of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their core services.
Extensive experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
Proven experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
Solid understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or ECS.
Experience with monitoring and logging tools and practices.
Strong understanding of network principles, security best practices, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to leverage AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline processes, and drive innovation within the role and across Moody's.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Responsibilities
Technical Leadership and Strategy:Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams on DevOps best practices, tooling, and architectural patterns. Contribute to the overall DevOps strategy and roadmap.
Cloud Infrastructure Management:Design, build, andmaintainscalable, secure, andhighly availablecloud infrastructure on platforms like AWSand Azure
Automation and Orchestration:Develop and implement robust automation solutions for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, application deployment, and monitoring.
Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD):Design, implement, andoptimizeCI/CD pipelines using tools like AzureDevops,CircleCI, or GitHub Actions. Ensure efficient and reliable software releases.
Monitoring and Observability:Implement comprehensive monitoring and logging solutions to proactivelyidentifyand resolve system issues. Utilize tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or Datadog.
Security and Compliance:Integrate security best practices into the infrastructure and deployment processes. Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
Performance Optimization:Identifyand address performance bottlenecks across the application and infrastructure layers. Implement strategies for scaling and improving system efficiency.
Incident Management and Root Cause Analysis:Participatein incident response and perform thorough root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences.
Collaboration and Communication:Effectively collaborate with development, QA, security, and operations teams to foster a strong DevOps culture. Communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing:Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge and best practices within the team and across the organization.
Evaluation and Adoption of New Technologies:Stayup-to-datewith the latest DevOps trends and technologies and evaluate their potential benefits for the organization.
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is$168,200.00-$243,650.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
