As an Armed Security Officer, you will serve and safeguard clients in a Government Building.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, enforce site-specific policies, and if appropriate emergency response.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter. Work environment and conditions may vary by client site.

Participate in industry specific security/safety training programs

QUALIFICATIONS:

Possess effective written and oral communication skills and good interpersonal skills to deal with all levels of client personnel and the general public in a professional manner.

Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative wireless technology for personnel management and fulfilling security duties.

Possess the skills to handle crisis situations at client sites in a calm and efficient manner.

Ability to:

Work in various environments such as cold or hot weather, rain or snow

Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds

Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift

Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time

MINIMUM REQUIREMETNS:

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Possess a current Guard Card and Firearm Permit and any other licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations that may be required prior to employment.

As a condition of employment, the candidate must successfully complete a background investigation and a drug screen in accordance with federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

Possess a valid driver's license, required for driving positions only.

Must have at least 1 year of security experience within the past 3 years; or military and/or law enforcement experience. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
