As an Armed Patrol Officer at this government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, responding to situations as needed, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. This is an armed post, requiring you to maintain a professional presence while supporting a secure environment. Job Schedule:
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor for and report any suspicious behavior or security-related incidents within the government facility.
- Assist with access control by verifying identification and credentials as required by site policies.
- Document and communicate any incidents, observations, or concerns to the appropriate personnel or authorities.
- Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies or requests for assistance as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- North Carolina Armed Security Professional License is preferred.
- Armed Guard Card/License is preferred.
- North Carolina Security Professional Guard Card is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
