• PostgreSQL.
• Python/Shell Scripting
• pgBackRest.
• Kubernetes/OpenShift clusters for PostgreSQL.
• Emphasis on Database recovery and disaster mitigation

Required Skills:

• Extensive experience in database administration, specifically with PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency in monitoring and maintaining databases, optimizing performance, and ensuring security.
• Strong skills in shell scripting and database replication.
• Ability to create playbooks and expertise in Unix System Administration.
• Experience in architecting large-scale production database platforms.
• Strong knowledge of Postgres production and contingency replication features and configurations.
• Expertise in Postgres HA Clustered environments.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or shell script.
• Strong experience with Linux and Ansible.
• Hands-on experience with failover/migration and data restores in HA environments.
• Experience with database patching and continuous application support.
• Familiarity with Splunk and Kafka.
• Proficient in handling crontabs and data backups using pgBackRest.
• Experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift clusters for PostgreSQL.
• Ability to create and maintain documentation, troubleshooting playbooks, and test failover and recovery plans.
• Perform regular database maintenance tasks.
• Ability to write Ansible playbooks.
• PostgreSQL DBA experience in a 24x7 production environment.
• Experience in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting PostgreSQL on Linux.
