Your Opportunity as the Analyst, Transportation Planning
The Analyst, Transportation Planning in Transportation Operations is responsible for transportation planning, performance monitoring, operational improvement, cost discipline, and project participation throughout the JM Smucker network. This position is directly responsible for managing transportation plans, implementing process enhancements, and monitoring performance metrics while maintaining a focus on cost and service to the business. The role also requires subject matter expertise for the supply chain on transportation aspects of assigned projects.
Location: Orrville, OH
Work Arrangements: Hybrid, 30% in office expectations
In this role you will:
Tender between $30m-$50m worth of loads per year
Own On Time Delivery for 300-500 tendered loads weekly
Support bid negotiations and lane award compliance
Be a subject matter expert for ad hoc exception management of carriers, for supply chain stakeholders
Collaborate with Customer Logistics, Integrated Business Planning, Warehousing, site operations, QA, Transportation Pricing, carrier coordinators and dispatchers

What we are looking for:
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree
1 year of Transportation or adjacent supply chain experience
1 year of 3PL, carrier, or CPG organization experience
TMS and/or WMS competence
Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role:
E2Open user knowledge
An understanding of the JMS distribution network
A sense of urgency and extreme attention to detail
Clear communication skills, written and verbal
A firm understanding of the Transportation metrics that matter
