Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Ensure timely and accurate collection of outstanding accounts receivable balances, establishing effective communication with clients for payment reminders.
· Conduct thorough reviews of collection effectiveness, allowing for recommendations for policy modifications to enhance overall collections.
· Oversee the legal procedures and delegate responsibilities related to the collection of delinquent accounts, ensuring seamless coordination with external collection agencies when necessary.
· Set up, review, and track customers' credit activities, ensuring they are within specific guidelines.
· Regularly audit accounts that are overdue and manage the collection process effectively before categorizing debts as bad.
· Analyze current accounts receivable processes and find ways to improve efficiency, suggesting new policies for management’s approval.
· Answer inbound calls, assisting customers with queries and payment processes, as well as managing walk-ins effectively.
· Collaborate with team members and management to exchange vital information, ensuring that account records are accurate and up to date.
· Prepare and present detailed accounts receivable reports to various stakeholders as needed.
· Stay informed about team activities, pinpoint problem areas, and implement solutions accordingly.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
· One to three years of experience in a related field preferred.
· Proven capability to lead and inspire a team effectively.
· Strong commitment to delivering high standards of excellence.
· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential.
· Highly proficient with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Strong attention to detail is a must.
· Familiarity with data collection and analysis methodologies.
· Ability to collaborate with all levels of management.
· Demonstrated organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
· Flexible and adaptable in response to changing priorities.
