Volt is immediately hiring an experienced Accounting Specialist for a leading organization in Albuquerque, NM.

As an Accounting Specialist, you will:

Perform journal entries.
Manage and enter vendor invoices into the accounts payable system.
Financially close work orders and sales orders.
Manage and enter customer payments into the accounting system.
Prepare monthly journal entries related to service/MRO activities.
Reconcile bank statements in the accounting system.
Assist the Controller with special projects as needed.

Candidates must meet the following requirements for consideration:

5+ years of relevant accounting experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Ability to prepare concise summaries of complex financial issues.
Working knowledge of Excel.
Cross-functional experience, comfortable working with operations (production, supply chain, engineering, etc.).
Ability to analyze complex data, identify risks and opportunities, develop creative solutions, effectively communicate recommendations, and initiate corrective action.

Preferred qualifications:

Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
Familiarity with aerospace or similar production environments.
Familiarity with a variety of contract types, including inter-company business.
SAP software experience.

Details:

Type: Full-time/Temporary
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (30-minute lunch)
Compensation: $30-$35 per hour (Top pay rate requires a degree)

Working Conditions / Physical Demands:

Work primarily performed in an office.
May have some exposure to noise from aircraft and machinery in a warehouse or hangar environment.
Light physical demands associated with an office work environment. *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
