Under the direction of the accounting department management, the Accounting Student Associate will have an opportunity to gain real world experience in the accounting department at Daytona International Speedway by assisting with day-to-day accounting tasks and working on accounting-related projects.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS / DUTIES OF THE POSITION

Assist with research, filing, data entry, and recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records.

Work with and analyze large datasets and spreadsheets.
Assist with the preparation of various accounting reports as requested by management for month-end and quarter-end.
Assist in reconciliation of various accounts, reviewing invoices and recording monthly journal entries.
Other duties as assigned

POSITION DETAILS

Summer 2025 through Spring 2026, 7-to-8-month assignment, potential to extend.
100% onsite (not a remote position)
No relocation or housing assistance provided; paid hourly.

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES

Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Power Point
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
Strong attention to detail with focus on accuracy
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Knowledge of Workday, or the ability to learn the systems quickly

WORK HOUR & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Part time, 15-20-hour workweek, plus 3 to 4 event weekends

EDUCATION LEVEL AND FIELDS OF STUDY

Fall 2025 rising Junior or Senior obtaining a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related degree
