We are actively seeking entry level and experienced Machine Operators to join and grow in the PPG organization. Under the supervision of an experienced trainer new Machine Operators , will learn to identify and operate CNC machinery. Upon completion of training Machine Operators will load, machine, and gauge various size metal castings according to written work instructions.

- Follow written work instructions
- Load part(s) to be machined into the fixture
- Verify parts(s) properly loaded and set in fixture
- Enter the appropriate program number to machine part
- Use gage to record dimensional data on appropriate form(s)
- Determine if gage reading are within or out of tolerance
- Identify and inspect part features
- Follow tagging process of non-conforming (out of tolerance) parts
- Keep work area clean and organized
- Adhere to safety protocols at all times
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum one year factory related experience
- Must have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken
- Must be able to read and interpret work instructions, follow routers, use simple math, and use basic handheld measuring tools
- Night shift applicants must be willing to train on days then move to nights
- Must be able to pass a 10 panel drug screen
- Prior offenses must be non violent and more than 7 years old
Schedule
- 6a-630p, 4 days per week rotating
- 6p-630a, 4 days per week rotating
- Weekends will be required within the rotation
- Night shift trainees will train on day shift for a minimum of 45 days
Compensation
- Training pay: $18.00 per hour
- Upon successful completion of training and demonstrated assessment pay increases to $20.00 per hour

Most positions require access to ITAR/EAR-controlled information. As such, persons considered for this position must be either a U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident (green card holder) or otherwise classifiable as a "U.S. Person" under relevant regulations.
